For all you Wizards of Waverly Place fans out there, this weeks competition is sure to be a good one: Theresa Russo (actress Maria Canals Barrera) takes on hija Alex Russo (Selena Gomez).

Barrera v. Gomez

For starters, Maria Canals Barrera is legal. Born September 28, 1966 in Miama, Florida, she is officially an American citizen! (Cue Sarah Palin speech on strengthening borders and lynching immigrants.) Being the Disney channel fanatic that I am, I've had my eye on the mom from Wizards of Waverly Place for quite some time now. And while my peers were anxiously awaiting the 18th birthday of Selena Gomez, I was anxiously awaiting my 18th birthday so I would finally be a legal specimen for this Cuban Cougar. Some may not be convinced that a 43 year old mother-of-two could be as beautiful and glamorous as her 18 year old counter part (see below), but may I submit three pieces of evidence in her defense: 1) Barrera has Twitter. 2) Barerra has Facebook. 3) Barerra is really, really ridiculously good looking.

For starters, Selena Gomez is legal. Born July 22, 1992, she is officially 18 years old! She is well known for her role on the hit Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place and the catchy song ‘Naturally’ that we are privileged to hear over the radio on the regular. Not only that, she has starred in four movies and was in Barney and Friends as a child. No one needs to worry, just because she is a successful child star doensn't mean she will be turning into Britney Spears (i.e. slutty, crazy, shaved head) anytime soon; Gomez began wearing a purity ring when she was 12 years old. I love the way she knows who she is; to me that’s exciting. Selena also shows she cares by being and active supporter of UNICEF, has rescued five dogs and describes herself as a "huge animal lover".

Cooper v. Seacrest

Happy Hump Day, folks. This week's mêlée of ages is brought to you by two of the most predominant men in media. CNN's Anderson Cooper goes up against E!'s Ryan Seacrest. Don't let your voice go unheard- vote for media mogul of your choice!

Anderson Cooper v. Ryan Seacrest

Anderson Hays Cooper, a.k.a. "The Silver Fox" (Re: The Advocate, 2008), is irrefutably the bomb dot com. Cooper is everything my mother would want in a man: well-educated, well manicured, and well... well, he's just really cool. After studying at Yale, young Cooper began a diverse career as an author, journalist, and T.V. personality. He has received numerous awards, including several Emmys and the National Order of Honor and Merit from the Government of Haiti. Cooper spends his spare time challenging professional athletes (Beckham, Phelps), swimming with great whites, and saving innocent children from natural disasters; and may we not neglect to recognize that said things are always done whilst wearing Gucci and Prada all the while.

American Idol host and celebrity wrangler Ryan Seacrest, fits the criteria for young and glamorous to a T. He is the entertainment mouthpiece of our generation! And although he made his living interviewing celebrities and future ‘idol’s’, he’s more famous (and more attractive) than most of these people! He is the prime candidate for young and glamorous because he got the look, he got the charm, but most importantly, he got the teeth. Ryan isn't the only one with glistening white teeth, at least not for long. In 2007, Ryan signed a deal with Crest and Scope to raise money for charities and to help children in countries that don’t have access to dental hygiene. What a guy!

Conrad v. Madison

Our first post features two of Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriends: Kimberley Conrad and Holly Madison. What better way to kick off this glamour battle than with the girls who dated (and in Kim’s case, MARRIED) the founder of Playboy? That's right, ladies and gent's, it's a full-fledged Bunny Battle.

Kimberley Conrad is one of few 47 year olds that can make hard-bodied hunks weak in the knees while their covetous girlfriends turn green with envy. Let's do the math: 5'9, 122 lbs, & measurements of 36-24-36. Is it any wonder she caught Hef's eye?  Kim had her first Playboy Centerfold appearance in 1988 and was deemed Playmate of the Year in 1989. Conrad married the company's multi-millionaire CEO later that year and subsequently had two sons, Marston and Cooper. Conrad is an avid snowboarder, a vegetarian, and actively campaigns for PETA. Oh, gawd. I'm in love.

Holly Madison, age 30, is the epitome of young and glamorous. She has a classic old Hollywood feel to her but still knows how to keep fresh and current. Prime example: She did a Playboy spread in which she channeled Marilyn Monroe AND has a show in Vegas called ‘Peepshow’. Holly is smokin’ hot. But that’s not all she has going for her... She has a brain, too! In a recent episode of the hit show Holly’s World, she visited the mayor of Las Vegas to address road construction issues. Girlfriend knows what’s up! Clearly Holly is young and glamorous.
